Watcheed ("the app", "we", "us") is a movie and TV show tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using Watcheed you agree to the practices described here.
1. Data We Collect
Account data
- Email address — used to create and authenticate your account.
- User identifier — a unique ID generated for your account by our authentication provider.
Authentication is handled by Supabase. We do not store your password; it is managed securely by Supabase.
Content you create
- Watchlist, ratings and episode progress — the movies and shows you add, the ratings you give, and which episodes you mark as watched. This data
is linked to your account and stored on our backend so it can sync across sessions.
Data stored only on your device
- Search history and local app preferences are stored on your device and are not sent to us.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or device advertising identifier.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
- To save and sync your watchlist, ratings and episode progress.
- To provide core app functionality (discovering, tracking and rating content).
We use your data only to operate the app. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app/cross-site tracking, and we do not sell your data
